Issue an identity document
Craft a writing desk, issue your document, and present it to another player.
Realm Identity · v0.1.2Build a writing desk
Craft an Identity Writing Desk and place it in the world. The recipe uses:
| Left | Centre | Right |
|---|---|---|
| Paper | Feather | Ink sac |
| Book | Planks | Book |
| Planks | Planks | Planks |
Right-click the desk to open the interface.
Issue your document
Bring one paper and one ink sac in your main inventory and leave space for the document. If materials or space are missing, nothing is consumed and an existing document stays valid.
With Realm Origins installed, the desk reads your existing character’s name, age, lineage, occupation, and signature. Create a valid character first. Identity reads that information without editing your profile or money.
Without Origins, the document uses the real Minecraft account name and UUID, with RP fields left empty.
Read and present it
- Right-click in the air with your document to consult it.
- Right-click another player with your document to offer a presentation. The other player controls acceptance.
- Keep the physical document available when a supported interaction asks for it.
Titles and civil status
With Realm Titles, a fresh document consultation can show current honours without issuing a replacement.
Version 0.1.2 adds optional Marriage integration for civil status and spouse information, respecting the holder’s privacy. Using a marriage certificate with Shift validates its recorded ceremony details.
Replacements and authenticity
Use the desk’s supported replacement process when you need a second copy. Document validity is verified against the server’s records; copying an item’s visible text is not the same as creating an authentic identity.
See the source guide for exact presentation, replacement, and administration rules.
