Find the election blocks

Realm Council uses an election board, ballot box, and oath table. Operators place and configure them, while citizens interact with them in the world.

Boards open the public election book. There is no O-key shortcut or public /council command that opens it remotely. Stay in the same dimension and within eight blocks of the block you opened.

Set up an election

An operator with permission level 2 opens the board’s management area. They can obtain the three blocks, define the office, and configure eligibility, turnout, candidate limits, rounds, and real-time phase durations.

The operator reviews and seals the settings to create the election. Manual changes to the voter register close when campaigning begins.

Stand as a candidate

During nominations, an eligible registered voter may submit a candidacy with a slogan, symbol, and proposals. During the campaign, existing candidates can edit their proposals or withdraw. New candidacies close after nominations, and proposals become fixed at voting.

If Origins is installed, the election can read character details. Political records remain available even if the integration is later removed.

Vote

Interact with a ballot box, choose a candidate or a blank ballot, and confirm with the seal. Eligibility, phase, and prior participation are checked by the server.

Take the oath

Winning an election is followed by the oath at the table. Supported companion mods recognise a current, active, sworn mandate when deciding political authority.

The office provides roleplay powers in supported systems. It does not make the winner a Minecraft operator. When a mandate ends, powers tied to it end as well.
